Rod Stewart has "so much more music" that he wants to make, with a reported three new albums in the works.

The Maggie May singer has insisted that he "cannot stop" making new music, adding that he has three new albums in the pipeline, with his "passion for music" still burning brightly.

"There’s so much more music I want to create", Stewart told AARP The Magazine. "I’ve got a covers album, a country album, and a Faces album all in the works. I just can’t stop".

"Even when I’m spending time with my grandkids, my passion for music drives me", he continued: "I feel like I’ve done everything I’ve ever wanted, but there's still more to come".

"lucky"

Elsewhere in his interview, Rod Stewart explained that he is enjoying playing live on stage "more" now than when he was younger, saying that he can appreciate "how lucky he's been".

"When I feel I might be sick enough to cancel a concert, that’s when I go, ‘Maybe I’m getting old.' Then a couple of days later, bang, I’m back at it again", he stated.

"I enjoy doing concerts more than I did back then. Maybe I’ve come full circle to appreciate how lucky I’ve been".

Rod Stewart who will perform at Glastonbury's Legends Slot in June, had previously said that he plans to finish with "large-scale world tours" when his long run of shows finishes. More on this here.
