Taylor Swift has made a generous donation to the charity, Feeding America.

The singer has donated $1 million (£739,00) to Feeding America, a non profit organisation which oversees a network of foodbanks, food pantries, and local meal programs across the USA, just in time for Christmas.

This news was shared by Feeding America, who released a statement via their CEO, Claire Babineaux-Fontenoton, who said: “We are incredibly grateful for Taylor Swift’s $1 million gift to Feeding America".

The statement added: “This holiday season, her continued support is a powerful reminder of what is possible when we unite to end hunger. When we join together alongside people facing hunger, we can make sure families have a full table this holiday season and beyond". See this post in full here.

Taylor Swift is renowned for her generosity for charitable donations.

Back in 2024, the singer donated $5 million the the US Hurricane Relief Efforts after Hurricane Milton crashed into the Florida coast in October that year. This led to furious winds and life threatening storms. It has also lead to most flights between Dublin and Florida being cancelled.

At the time, CEO Babineaux-Fontenot also praised Swift via this statement.

"We're incredibly grateful to Taylor Swift for her generous $5 million donation to Hurricanes Helene and Milton relief efforts", she said. "This contribution will help communities rebuild and recover, providing essential food, clean water, and supplies to people affected by these devastating storms. More on this here.

Earlier this month, Taylor Swift also handed out generous cash bonuses to those who worked at her huge Eras Tour, with some workers left in tears as Swift offered each one a share of $197 million for their part in making the show the success that it was.

The tour which launched in March 2023, finished in December 2024, grossing more than $2 billion. More on this story here.
