Meghan Trainor has revealed details of her forthcoming seventh studio album and dropped a bold new single to mark the next chapter in her career.
Trainor’s new album, titled Toy With Me, is slated for release on 24 April 2026. Alongside the album announcement came the lead single Still Don’t Care, which Trainor describes as a “bold, fun, a little cheeky, and full of confidence” expression of self-worth and resilience. In her words, the track is a reminder “to anyone who’s ever felt judged” — an encouragement to reclaim one’s narrative, regardless of external criticism.
With the announcement, Trainor also revealed that she will head out on The Get In Girl Tour in North America beginning June 2026, covering more than 30 cities and supporting the LGBTQ+ charity The Trevor Project through tour proceeds.
Meghan Trainor first stormed the global pop scene with her breakout hit All About That Bass, which reached No. 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and made her a chart-topping sensation. Her debut studio album Title entered the US Billboard 200 at No. 1, earning triple-platinum certification. Her following album, Thank You (2016), debuted at No. 3 in the US, and she won the Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 2016.
Beyond the immediate commercial success, her work has included the UK and Australian top-10 hit “Lips Are Movin’”, and the global smash “Like I’m Gonna Lose You” (featuring John Legend). In more recent years, her albums Takin’ It Back (2022) and Timeless (2024) continued to reinforce her identity as a confident, self-empowered pop artist. Timeless, released in June 2024, debuted at No. 27 on the US Billboard 200 and featured collaborations with established names such as T-Pain, while shifting to themes of motherhood, self-acceptance and longevity in the pop world.
With “Still Don’t Care” as a tone-setter, Trainor appears to be embracing a more personal and unapologetic direction. Described by her as “the most honest and fearless I’ve ever been”, the upcoming album is expected to explore freedom, growth and authenticity. Her decision to integrate real-life themes of self-confidence and critique of body-shaming suggests a development beyond pure pop hooks to a more introspective artistic statement.
Fresh from a decade of hits and musical reinvention, Toy With Me could mark a major pivot and a strong contender for pop-album conversations in 2026.
Stay tuned for what promises to be one of pop’s more interesting comebacks of the year.
