Having announced their 25th anniversary, Westlife recently spoke about their 25 years on stage, as well as all things family, fame and fans.
This comes after the band shared their new song, Chariot, as well as a huge residency and tour which will take them around the world in 2026.
Westlife originally formed in the late 1990s, with Louis Walsh as their manager. At the time, the band originally consisted of Shane Filan, Mark Feehily, Nicky Byrne, Kian Egan, and Brian McFadden, with the latter leaving the band to pursue a solo career in 2004.
This upcoming residency will take place without singer Mark Feehily who will sit this out due to health issues.
Speaking to Sky News, bandmember Shane Filan said: "The Westlife story is fairy tale stuff and we're very lucky and proud to be part of it".
"It took our breath away. We came out to the Royal Albert Hall thinking it might be a little bit more intimate than a big arena and just the sheer noise, the sheer screams from the women and everyone just having good fun", he added. "The support and love, we never felt it like we did in the room. It was amazing".
Westlife now reside in joint third place with Sir Cliff Richard and Ed Sheeran for the most UK number one singles of all time, just behind Elvis and The Beatles.
Filan's bandmate Nicky Byrne spoke about what the last few years were like for Westlife.
"You see the generations coming to the shows, people letting their hair down, people remembering the songs from their first kiss, the first dance, all those special things that music does," he says. "Not even just for the fans - we're having the time of our lives.
"We're singing these songs up there... I remember breaking the wardrobe door when we were promoting Swear It Again, and now we're singing it in front of the Royal Albert Hall and look, I mean, just look at this place".
Elsewhere, Nicky Byrne also said that finding out about music does not get old, with their hit 'Flying Without Wings' has been a key part of their stature in music.
"I did Soccer Aid with Tom Grennan recently, and he was talking all about how he grew up listening to Westlife - his dad is Irish. Big Zuu, who scored the winning goal, he was like, 'Flying Without Wings, man, is the best song I've ever heard", Byrne said.
Flying Without Wings is also the same song that Ed Sheeran first learned to play the guitar on. He also went on to write songs for the band, including their latest tune, Chariot.
But it would appear to be the band's choice of furniture has received as much attention recently, with four stools becoming a key element for them on stage.
The stools which appeared to stem from their lack of dancing skills, according to Simon Cowell anyway. They soon decided to change this up and rise from their chairs on the key change of the song.
"We are stool connoisseurs. It's become a very strange thing and it's nearly as big as our music. It's genuinely as big as You Raise Me Up", Filan jokes.
