Westlife have paid tribute to a fan who died tragically in a rickshaw accident after travelling back from their final show at the 3Arena, Dublin last month.

Last week, Danielle O'Keane, a mother of two children died after a rickshaw she was travelling in following Westlife's show at the venue, hit the curb at approximately 11pm on Sunday, September 26.

She suffered serious injuries from the crash, including a "catastrophic" brain injury. She was taken to Mater Misericordiae University Hospital, before spending several days in hospital. She sadly passed away on Thursday (October 1), having been in ICU on a ventilator.

This tribute from Westlife, which you can check out below, was also shared by Danielle's heartbroken husband, Dave, while her death notice was announced by Charles and Sons Funeral Directors, who described Danielle as a "much loved wife of Dave and dear mother of Caolán and Cillian".

The 37 year old's death notice per Funeral Times reads: “O’ Keane (nee Mullan) (Saval, Newry) died 1 October 2026 as the result of an accident".

“Danielle R.I.P. Much loved wife of Dave and dear mother of Caolán and Cillian. Beloved daughter of Michael and Pauline, and dear sister of Barry and her twin Sean. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul".

"Funeral arrangements later. Deeply regretted by her sorrowing husband, children, parents, brothers, sisters in law, brothers in law, mother in law Dolores, nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, family circle and friends". (All quotes according to the Irish Mirror).

'You Raise Me Up'

Last Saturday night, Westlife were performing at the Utilita Arena in Birmingham, where they dedicated a live performance of 'You Raise Me Up' and 'Flying Without Wings' in honour of Danielle O'Keane.

"This song is sung tonight to everybody who has lost somebody they love and for Danielle", singer Shane Filan told the audience.

As drones with red lights shone above the stage, Filan added: "We are going to celebrate them all up here, right now".
