On the 39th anniversary of Antoinette Smith's murder, Gardaí have renewed their appeal for information about the case.

The 27-year-old disappeared in Dublin after attending a David Bowie concert with a friend.

After the concert, the pair went to La Mirage Discotheque on Parnell Street, where they met up with two male friends.

Antoinette was last seen at the taxi rank on O'Connell Street, where the group went their separate ways.

She never returned home that night and was reported missing to Gardaí by her husband.

Nine months later, her remains were discovered on Glendoo Mountain.

Antoinette was the mother of two young daughters. Lisa and Rachel were just four and seven years old when their mother disappeared.

Detective Inspector Seamus Ryan said: "We feel that someone out there does know something and who is to say over the intervening years allegiances may have changed and people's point of view may have differed somewhat. That is why we urge the public to come forward this time."

Anyone with information about the murder of Antoinette Smith is asked to contact Gardaí in Bray on 01 666 5300, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
