Carol Vorderman has achieved many things in her life, but she believes her latest honour is the best yet.

On Friday, Carol had quite the full circle moment as she returned to Cambridge University with her son Cameron to be honoured.

The TV host, who worked on Countdown for 26 years, has been made an Honorary Fellow and said her late ‘mum would have been bursting with pride.’

Explaining a little more about her photos, Carol said she was joined by her ‘brilliant +1’, her son Cameron, for the weekend, and also posed for photos with Sherry Coutu, who founded Interactive Investor and other companies, and is also an Honorary Fellow.

‘Also pictured is the wonderful Professor Martin Burton, the current Master of Sidney Sussex College, who is doing a fantastic job leading the college community,' Carol wrote.

She added: 'And the photo of the three of us women in Chapel Court shows me with Sherry and Professor Dame Sandra Dawson, the first female Master of the college.

‘Sandra also led the Judge Business School at Cambridge and is one of the most remarkable women I’ve ever met. When she was Master, she was extraordinary.'

A huge congrats, Carol!
