Cold And Frosty Weekend Expected As Overnight Temperatures To Drop Below Zero

Met Éireann have predicted cold and frosty weather for this weekend.

With sunny and dry weather expected for Saturday morning, the night is to become cold and frosty, with some fog patches developing. Lowest temperatures of between -3 and 0 degrees are expected. 

Ahead of that, the national forecaster have said that it will remain dry and sunny today, with some isolated showers. They also added that rain is expected along west coast areas, reaching maximum temperatures of between 6 and 8 degrees, before dropping to between -2 and 2 degrees during the night.

Following a cold and frosty Saturday night, Sunday is to remain cold, with temperatures of 3 to 6 degrees expected, with fog patches also expected throughout the day.

Lowest temperatures are also expected to hit -3 and zero degrees, ahead of another dry, cold Monday.

A mixture of cloud and sunny spells are expected for Monday with highs of 2 and 4 degrees. Monday night is to icy and cold, with temperatures of -3 and 1 degrees.

High pressure is expected for Ireland throughout the week, with mostly dry and cold weather predicted.
