More than 40 Baxter & Greene products sold through Dunnes Stores are included in the recall. The affected range includes products containing sesame seeds, such as sandwiches, wraps and salads. Some of the recalled items were also available from Baxter and Greene salad bars at selected Dunnes Stores locations.

A separate food safety notice concerns SuperValu Seed Mix 200g. The affected products include batch numbers 163 and 166, with a best-before date of May 2027, as well as batch 191, which has a best-before date of June 2027.
Gem Sesame Seeds 1kg are also subject to a recall. The affected batches are 155 and 177, both carrying a best-before date of May 2027.
Several Sysco sesame seed products have also been identified. These include:
In addition, Sesame Seeds 25kg from lots 32308 and 32704, with a best-before date of 1 March 2027, have been recalled.
Sowans Sesame Seeds 100g are also affected. Consumers should check for batch number 155, with a best-before date of May 2027.
The FSAI has issued additional alerts concerning sesame seed and seed-mix products.
On Wednesday, the authority announced the recall of SuperValu Sesame Seeds 200g. The affected products have batch numbers 167 and 168 and a best-before date of May 2027.
Compania Indilor Orientale Susan Sesame Seeds were also recalled. The affected product is sold in 50g packs and carries batch number L1312242, with a best-before date of July 2026.
According to the FSAI, symptoms of salmonella infection generally begin between 12 and 36 hours after exposure, although they can appear anywhere from six to 72 hours later.
Diarrhoea is the most common symptom and may sometimes contain blood. Other possible symptoms include fever, headaches and stomach cramps.
Most people recover within four to seven days, although the illness can occasionally cause severe diarrhoea that requires hospital treatment.
Older people, babies and those with weakened immune systems are considered to be at greater risk of developing serious illness.
The FSAI has instructed retailers to remove the affected batches from sale. Consumers are advised not to eat any of the recalled products and to check whether items they have purchased match the batch details listed in the recall notices.
Food businesses and caterers have also been advised not to use any of the affected batches.
