Dublin's Temple Bar is once again hosting a series of free gigs throughout the month of July.
'Summer Nights' at Meeting House Square is set to bring a diverse range of artists and musicians into the heart of the capital's Cultural Quarter.
There'll be emerging and established artists, from a variety of genres taking to the stage, with Irish Trad and Alternative Trad, Rock, Rap, RnB, Irish Folk, Jazz/Soul and Pop nights all lined up.
With artists such as Huartan, Yankari, Thumper and Dee Armstrong, 'Summer Nights', organisers say 'Summer Nights' not only provides a platform for artists to showcase their talents, but it also fosters a vibrant community atmosphere in Dublin City Centre.
Week 1 - Thursday & Friday, July 10/11
Week 2 - Thursday & Friday, July 17/18
Week 3 - Thursday & Friday, July 24/25
Week 4 - Thursday & Friday, July 31/August 1
The Temple Bar Company, in collaboration with Dublin's Night-time Economy Advisor and Guinness 0.0, launched the series this morning, saying this year will be much bigger, and will go on later into the night than previous editions.
Martin Harte, CEO of The Temple Bar Company, believes the area is the ideal location for locals and visitors to enjoy a free night out:
"Live music and performance has been part of Temple Bar's DNA for decades, and while the capital is home to a multitude of music institutions and venues, Summer Nights offers an outdoor alternative for locals and visitors to enjoy as they shop, stroll and socialise in Dublin."
"By utilising Dublin's and Temple Bar's vast network of streets, lanes, squares and public spaces, the city becomes a wonderful resource for immersive activations and live entertainment."
The 'Summer Nights' series on Meeting House Square is free, un-ticketed, strictly alcohol-free.
