One man has divided opinion online after he popped the question to his girlfriend in the changing rooms in the popular chain Zara.
Daniil Vorozhbt got down on one knee and recorded the event on his social media as he asked her that all-important question.
Saying 'Yes', his new fiancée showed off her engagement ring, delighted with the surprise, but while the occasion of being something to be celebrated, people online were divided by his actions.
With many proposals sometimes staged for social media, one viewer said that this video was the perfect 'tutorial on how not to propose.'
Whereas others jumped to the groom's defence, asking, 'Why are you all so offended and ready to judge everyone? A wedding proposal doesn't need to be flashy, under the Eiffel Tower or in a gondola on the Venetian canals to be meaningful. That would have been far more predictable.'
'This man managed to capture her attention when she least expected it, in an ordinary, everyday moment- and that's what truly matters. In fact, their story will probably be far more interesting down the line when people ask, 'How did you get engaged?' than most other people's stories.'
Daniil and his fiancée have not commented on the reaction.
The clip is the latest to spark social media debate when it comes to proposing.
