Are you sitting comfortably? Good. Because the 2025 John Lewis Christmas advert has just dropped and it's time to warm up our cold hearts and get into the festive spirit.
This year's advert is sure to tug on the hardest of heartstrings as it's one to honour fathers and sons, and the special, often unspoken, bond they share.
Titled 'Where Love Lives', the ad is set in a family home on Christmas Day as a mum tells her teenage children to start clearing the presents off the table.
The scene switches back to the present day as the emotional dad pulls his slightly embarrassed teenage son in for a warm hug, showing a touching father-son moment of connection through music.
John Lewis explained the tagline for the ad was 'If you can't find the words, find the gift,' saying: 'We don't always know how to say how we feel. Not out loud. Not properly.
'But then comes Christmas and something in us wants to try. This is the story of a dad and his son, and the gift that helps them find their way back to one another.
'Because, sometimes, a gift can say the things we can't.'
We didn't expect to be crying before lunchtime today, but here we are!
