Roseanna Ruane has revealed a bittersweet milestone that has been hit at the Ruane household as the family rooted out Saoirse’s old bicycle.
Saoirse Ruane won the hearts of the nation following her appearance on The Late Late Toy Show in 2020.
The Galway girl died two years ago following a battle with Osteosarcoma. Her mum has been keeping followers up to date on how the family have navigated their grief.

On Monday, Roseanna shared a video clip from Saoirse’s seventh birthday, and the delight she felt when she was surprised with a bike for the big occassion.
The little girl squeals in delight and runs up to dad Olly’s arms after spotting the bike.
‘Her 7th birthday,’ Roseanna shared, ‘She only got to use it that summer as 10 months later she received the most devastating news.’

A follow up clip sees Olly and youngest daughter Farrah-Rose outside on the very same bike.
‘And just like that… Saoirse’s precious bike is taken down from the attic for her little sis to now use.’
Last week, the Ruane clan returned to social media following a three-month hiatus. Roseanna confirmed the break at the start of the year, revealing the family would be back ‘when the time feels right.’

Taking to Instagram last week, Roseanna shared a glimpse at the ‘slow living’ the family had been enjoying in the first months of 2026.
Among the clips and pictures was selfies with Farrah Rose and Ollie, a picture of Saoirse’s garden, a picture of Farrah Rose with the family pup and a cake to commemorate Saoirse’s second anniversary.
