A dating coach has shared three questions she believes everyone should ask on a first date to find out whether a potential partner could be a good match.
Sabrina Zohar, 36, regularly shares relationship advice with her 1.8 million TikTok followers, offering guidance to people looking for love as well as those already in relationships.

According to Zohar, the questions can help people understand how emotionally available a potential partner is, whether they are willing to work on themselves and how they approach personal growth.
In a video shared online, she explained that being afraid to ask these questions could be worth examining in itself.
“If you're scared to ask these questions I need you to [think about] your emotional availability and [ask yourself] if you're actually ready for a healthy and secure relationship,” she said.

The first question Zohar recommends asking is: Who is the person that you call when everything is either going right or wrong?
She explained that the answer could offer an insight into how comfortable someone is with sharing their emotions and turning to other people for support.
“If they answer and say, ‘Honestly, no one,’ or, ‘I just deal with it myself,’ then that might make you say, ‘Maybe this person isn't comfortable expressing their emotions or doesn't feel safe in order to do so with the people in their surroundings,’” she explained.

The second question is: What is something that you're working on within yourself right now that you're proud of?
Rather than focusing solely on someone's achievements, the question encourages them to talk about their personal development and the changes they are making in their lives.
Zohar's third recommended question is: What is a belief that you've outgrown in the last few years?
She believes this can reveal how willing someone is to reflect on their past attitudes and recognise when their perspective has changed.
Together, the three questions are intended to give people a better understanding of the person sitting across from them, beyond the usual first-date conversation about work, hobbies and interests.

While a first date is not necessarily the time to figure out everything about a potential partner, Zohar's advice encourages people to look beyond initial attraction and consider whether they are compatible on a deeper level.
The questions may also help people reflect on what they want from a relationship themselves, particularly when it comes to emotional openness, communication and personal growth.
