The pair who shared a flat in London together back in the 1980s, were spotted having a few jars together in Kehoe's pub, after it was reported that they were in the capital filiming a documentary.

Dunbar who has won acclaim for his role as Superintendent Ted Hastings in the drama series Line of Duty, became friends with Morrissey when the pair were studying at London's Guildhall School for Music and Drama.

Neil Morrissey also featured in Line of Duty as Detective Constable Nigel Morton. The actor is also known for his role as Tony Smart in the British sitcom Men Behaving Badly, alongside co-star Martin Clunes.

It was while they were kicking back with a few drinks that Dunbar and Morrissey were also approached by two fans, before posing for a quick photo together, as reported by the Irish Sun.

Earlier this Summer, Adrian Dunbar had hinted that a series 7 of Line of Duty could be in the offing. The actor added that it may entail "two 90 minute specials" or "three or four episodes".

"There's a big appetite for more Line of Duty. It could be three or four episodes; I don’t think there’s going to be six, for some reason", Dunbar said. "It might be two 90 minutes. But it’s all entirely down to Jed what the storyline is going to be. It’s a big ask for him".

Dunbar continued, "It’s going to be really good. Maybe someone’s going to die. Someone’s going to be under threat".

"He doesn’t mind killing characters off. Maybe he’ll kill us all off. A terrible car crash when we’re rushing to the scene of a crime? We’ll have to leave it to him".
