Ariana Grande has sparked speculation that she has rekindled her romance with ex-boyfriend Ricky Alvarez after changing the lyrics to one of her biggest hits during a live performance.
The singer surprised fans at her Eternal Sunshine Tour concert in New York City on Monday night when she altered the lyrics of Thank U, Next while singing about her former relationships.
Instead of the original lyric, "Wrote some songs about Ricky / Now I listen and laugh," Ariana sang: "Wrote some songs about Ricky / We always find our way back."
Fan footage from the concert quickly spread across social media, with many fans questioning whether the lyric change was a hint about their relationship status.

It is not the first time the Wicked star has changed the lyrics of the 2018 hit during the tour.
During a show in Austin, Texas in June, Ariana sang: "Wrote some songs about Ricky / Now they kinda slap."
At another concert shortly afterwards, she performed: "Wrote some songs about Ricky / I know he still got my back."

Before that, Ariana was married to real estate agent Dalton Gomez from 2021 until their divorce was finalised in March 2024.
