Meghan Markle is set to co host the next series of Junior MasterChef in Australia, according to reports.
This was reported by Australian outlet, News.com,.au, who said that the Duchess of Sussex is to be based Down Under for the duration of filming, which is expected to take place over a period weeks in 2027.
The outlet revealed that production for the show is to take place in Melbourne, and sees children compete against each other in the kitchen. It also follows on from Markle's appearance on MasterChef Australia earlier this summer.
No decision has been made on whether she will be visited by her husband, the Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet while she is in Australia.
News of this comes after it was revealed that Meghan Markle's father, Thomas Markle, was accused of being being in possession of child sexual abuse images at his home and was being investigated. Her father denied the allegations, calling them "sick lies".
Per reports in The Sun, Meghan Markle had released a statement saying that she was "deeply distressed" by these reports.
“I am deeply distressed at the news that has come to light in the last 24 hours, and my thoughts are with any children who may have been harmed", the former Suits star said in a statement.
“In 2018, a letter was sent to the Metropolitan Police and Royalty and Specialist Protection. That letter was subsequently shared with me", she added. “It made troubling and disturbing allegations against my father and I was given assurances that these were being investigated".
Markle added that she hoped these reports would explain her decision to remain estranged from her father, and why she prevent him from having access to her children.
"I hope it can now be understood that, despite certain media publications' distortion over the years, any distance from my father and my choice to not allow him to have contact with our children", she said. Find out more on this story here.
