Harris confirmed these plans while discussing his future career in an interview with Capital Dance earlier this week.

“I always said that once I get past 50, I can’t see me DJing,” said Harris. “The more commercial end [of DJing], it gets a wee bit… a little bit suspect. I think I’d prefer to be in the studio making tunes".

Scottish DJ, producer and songwriter Harris, who turned 40 last month, even joked about seeking "anti-ageing supplements" online, ahead of his recent milestone birthday. However, he insists that he currently "feels good".

In this chat with Capital Dance, Calvin Harris spoke about his long-term plans for creating music in the studio, adding that he likes the idea of producing music for other artists.

“I think that’s where the majority of my talent lies, making something sound good,” Harris stated. “So I would like to make other people’s records sound good".

When asked when he would like to seek this career change, Harris replied "42, 43?", before laughing.

Harris has recently collaborated with Rag N' Bone Man, releasing the single 'Lovers In A Past Life'. The pair appeared on this chat with Capital Dance together.
