Claudia Winkleman has revealed that she initially turned down the chance to present The Traitors, when she was initially offered the role.
The presenter, who has hosted four series and two celebrity editions of the popular BBC reality game show, has said that she had rejected the chance at first, but soon changed her mind, having been persuaded to watch the Dutch version of the series.
"I'm always in bed at 9pm with my book, but I started watching, and at midnight, I sent her (an unnamed TV executive) a text saying, 'I'll buy my own ticket'", Winkleman told Bazaar.
"The BBC wanted me to give it a go. Maybe, I thought, let's try something different? But never again. That's it. It wasn't for me.
"I didn't enjoy it. I didn't like having my name on it. It's not what I'm good at. I need a format – it can't just be me", she added. "They said, 'OK, if that's your decision, but we'd like you to try again', and I was like, 'No'. Once was enough".
On the most recent episode of The Celebrity Traitors, a number of surprises came about, which included actor, Richard E Grant revealing that he had been made a traitor after he had been in the role.
On this humorous moment, Winkleman added: "I don't know how to explain how much I love a baked potato.
"I dropped [it] right by the rail of clothes, which were all borrowed, so we had to send everything back slightly smelling of cheese".
Last year, Claudia Winkleman left her role as host of Strictly Come Dancing alongside Tess Daly.
Back in September, Claudia Winkleman was reportedly lined up to present an the ITV reboot of Hell’s Kitchen, a potential return to the show for Winkleman after 17 years.
