Cristiano Ronaldo has announced his engagement to his long term partner Georgina Rodríguez.
This was confirmed by the model, who announced this news on Instagram, sharing a photograph of a large diamond ringer on her finger, which was resting on Ronaldo's hand, with the accompanying caption: "Yes I do. In this and in all my lives". See the post in full here.
The couple are to tie the knot, having first started dating in 2016. Rodríguez and Ronaldo have two daughters together, seven year old Alana, three year old Bella, with Bella's twin brother Angel tragically dying at birth.
She also helped to raise Ronaldo's three other children, 15 year old Cristiano Jr, and eight year old twins Mateo and Eva Maria.
The family currently live in Riyadh, with Ronaldo playing for pro league side, Al-Nassr.
"I was finally able to leave the shop to go home three hours later than I should have, and as I was getting ready to leave Cristiano came in with his eldest son and some friends", Ronaldo said on meeting Rodríguez for the first time in Madrid. "Let’s just say it was butterflies in my stomach".
