It has been revealed that a sequel to the iconic movie 'How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days' is in the works, with Kate Hudson serving as one of the producers.

According to RTE, the film is in the "very early days" and is currently looking for script writers.

Sources confirmed that both Hudson and Matthew McConaughey are expected to reprise their roles from the original 2003 film.

Hudson is set to produce the film alongside Stacey Sher, reports have revealed.

Hudson has served as producer on a number of films, such as Pulp Fiction, Matilda, Erin Brockovich and Django Unchained.

In the original film, Hudson portrays journalist Andy Anderson, who writes “How To” articles for a women’s magazine.

She decides to write an article about how to date a man and ultimately drive him away, by highlighting “the classic mistakes women make.”

Meanwhile, advertising executive Benjamin Barry, played by McConaughey, bets his colleagues that he can make a woman fall in love with him within 10 days, in time for the company’s ball.

Hudson is also known for her roles in romantic comedies such as You, Me and Dupree and Bride Wars, as well as Fool’s Gold, in which she starred alongside McConaughey.

McConaughey has also featured in several romantic comedies, including The Wedding Planner, Failure to Launch and Ghosts of Girlfriends Past.
