Miss Universe Ireland 2025 has been crowned- though ‘Miss University’ may actually be a more apt title, as the winner is a student and model.
Aadya Srivastava, 18, originally from Headford, Co. Galway, is currently in her second year at the University of Galway where she is studying law, politics and economics.
She hopes to pursue a career in international human rights.

Finalists from all over the country competed for the coveted Miss Universe Ireland crown at a glitzy ceremony in the Hilton Dublin Airport on Saturday night.
Last year’s winner, Sofia Labus from Cork, crowned Srivastava as the victor.
Sofia had previously told Extra.ie how she and her mother were once homeless for over a year.

‘I think it was 15 months altogether… where we’d be staying with others or I’d be staying with my friends,’ said Ms Labus.
‘I’d be with my mum and she’d have to go stay with one of her friends and I’d have to go stay with someone else.

‘You lose your place in society. Your life is put on pause and you have to think of ways to restart your life, so that’s why my voice for change is based on the social isolation that would be experienced by either immigrants or people who are going through homelessness.’

This year’s winner, Aadya, will go on to represent Ireland at the 74th Miss Universe 2025 final, to be held in Thailand in November.
