It appears that Apple Martin, daughter of the famous actress, Gwyneth Paltrow is set to follow in her footsteps, of sorts.

Apple, whose father is Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin, is set to turn her hand to directing behind the camera, as opposed to being in front of it like her mother. This comes following reports that Apple is leading the crew on a theatre production at her college at Vanderbilt University.

Apple, who is 21, is to graduate with a degree in law, history and society in May. But it appears she is gaining more experience as a director.

This comes after she shared a few stage photos over "best weekend, best people, best org, best memories" before her college added: "Miss Director couldn't have said it better".

Prior to this, Apple also spoke to Interview magazine about her love of theatre, saying that she loves it "more than anything".

"I would love to do theatre because I adore it so much. I’ve obviously never done film before, but I’ve been trying to get involved in student films. I was born a theatre kid", Apple continued.

She also went on to say in another interview that having initially wanted to pursue law, she later changed her mind.

"I was in that rebellious "I don't wanna be like my parents" type of phase", she explained.

"I don't wanna be a singer. I like musical theatre, but getting onstage by yourself to sing is so terrifying", she added when asked about not wanting to follow in her famous dad's footsteps. "I love dancing, and I love acting. My dream is to act".

Back in February, Apple Martin also outlined the cosmetic surgery she has undergone since she was 18 years old. Find out more on this here.

Back in January, it was reported that Apple's brother, Moses Martin, son of Chris and Gwyneth, was launching his music career, having shared his new single, 'Promise'. It was released by his band  People I've Met with bandmates Andrew Suster and Orlando Wiltshire.

Sharing it on social media, Moses wrote the following.

“So proud of this song. Endlessly grateful for the band and @noahconrad for helping to make this song so special", Moses shared. “Hope you enjoy. Sincerely, Moses Martin".
