Jennifer Aniston's alleged stalker has been sent to a mental health unit for assessment.
49 year old Jimmy Wayne Carwyle has appeared in court on October 3 and 15, where the list of violent threats he allegedly made against the Friends star were read out for the first time. Such offences include Mr Carwyle reportedly driving his car into the gate of Aniston's home in Bel-Air, as well as been sending frightening text messages to her over a period of months.
Following the crash which took place in May, he was ruled "not a substantial danger" and was recommended to serve 90 days in jail if found guilty. The accused was charged with felony stalking and felony vandalism, as well as the threat of great bodily harm.
This alleged period of harassment has been taking place over two years, which has included unwanted texts, social media posts and other acts of violence.
It was reported that Jennifer Aniston was furious with the police's handling of the case, after they reportedly leaked her blocked address on their case file, which led to fans gathering outsider her home.
"She has hired extra private security but she is considering moving because she no longer feels safe. She expected more discretion from the police. This was her dream home but now everyone knows where she lives", a source said.
In court, Mr Carwyle has been ordered to serve two months inside a mental health community centre in Los Angeles. He has also been asked to wear an ankle monitor at all times with GPS tracking, as well as stay away from Aniston and her associates.
He has been ordered to stay at least one mile away from Aniston's home.
If Carwyle is found guilty, he will face up to three years in prison, with Aniston yet to make a comment about this case at the time of writing.
