Jennifer Lawrence turned heads and dominated fashion headlines at the 83rd Annual Golden Globe Awards on January 11, 2026, arriving at the Beverly Hilton in a breathtaking full sheer gown by Givenchy that quickly became one of the most talked‑about looks of the evening.

The 35‑year‑old Hollywood star embraced a fearless and avant‑garde fashion statement, choosing a custom sheer dress adorned with strategically placed floral embroidery in shades of pink and green. The gown featured thin straps, a plunging neckline and side cutouts, with the transparent mesh creating a “naked” illusion that left little to the imagination yet retained an ethereal, romantic quality thanks to the delicate floral details.

Completing her look, Lawrence draped a matching satin shawl over her arms, paired shimmering diamond jewellery, and carried a floral‑accented clutch. Her hair was styled in soft, golden‑blonde waves with wispy bangs, and her makeup leaned into glowing skin with smoky eyes and a glossy lip — a glamorous complement to the daring ensemble.

This appearance marked a notable fashion evolution for Lawrence, who has often balanced classic elegance with bold choices throughout her career. While she has worn standout looks at previous award shows — including a deep‑blue velvet Dior gown at the 2024 Golden Globes — the sheer Givenchy gown is arguably her most provocative and conversation‑starting red carpet moment to date.

Lawrence’s choice reflects a broader trend on the 2026 Golden Globes red carpet, where nude illusions and see‑through materials dominated many celebrities’ fashion selections. Her look drew immediate comparisons to iconic sheer moments from past awards seasons, underlining how these daring designs continue to shape Hollywood glamour.

The actress was at the ceremony not only to showcase her striking fashion sense but also to celebrate her nomination for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama for her powerful role in Die My Love. The film, which co‑stars Robert Pattinson, sees Lawrence delivering a seasoned performance that has been widely praised this awards season.

Jessie Buckley, Owen Cooper and Timothée Chalamet Take The Cake At Golden Globes

Timothée Chalamet was among the main winners as Hollywood's finest gathered for this year's Golden Globe Awards. He beat stars including Leonardo DiCaprio and George Clooney to the award for best actor in a musical or comedy for Marty Supreme. Despite DiCaprio missing out, his film One Battle After Another won the most awards overall, with four prizes including best musical or comedy film and best director.

Irish actress Jessie Buckley was named best drama actress for Hamnet, which also scored a surprise win in the best drama film category.

Sinners had been considered the frontrunner, but it instead went home with the box office achievement prize as well as best score.

The Golden Globes are a key stop on the road to the Academy Awards, and other acting winners on Sunday included Teyana Taylor, Rose Byrne, Wagner Moura and Stellan Skarsgård.

Owen Cooper became one of the youngest Golden Globe Awards winners of all-time at the age of 16 for his work in Netflix's Adolescence (created by Stephen Graham and Jack Thorne). The teenage actor was recognized in the Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role — TV Series, Limited series or TV Movie category. He sweetly thanked his parents as he opened up about how much his role on the series changed their lives. He said: “What an incredible journey me and my family have been put through. We are forever grateful for what these people have done for me and my family.” The talented actor also ended his speech with a shout-out to his beloved Liverpool FC, telling the audience “You’ll never walk alone”.
