Katy Perry has given fans a rare glimpse into her private life after sharing a series of holiday photos that quietly confirmed how serious things have become between her and Justin Trudeau.
The singer posted a carousel of festive images to Instagram under the caption “Holidaze”, featuring moments from her Christmas and New Year break. Among the pictures was a tender shot of Perry kissing the former Canadian prime minister during what appeared to be a sunset getaway, with the pair cuddled together in golden-hour light.
The romantic photo was placed deep within the 19-image carousel, but it was quickly spotted by fans and widely shared online. It marked the first time Perry had publicly posted an intimate image of Trudeau, effectively confirming weeks of reports that the two have been spending significant time together.
Alongside the couple’s photo, Perry also included a number of family-focused snaps. Several showed her daughter Daisy, whom she shares with ex-fiancé Orlando Bloom, enjoying the festive season. Bloom was also pictured in some of the images, suggesting the former couple spent part of the holidays together as co-parents.
The update follows reports in late December that Perry and Trudeau had plans to spend New Year’s together. According to people close to the pair, the relationship has been growing steadily since they first met last summer.
Perry and Trudeau were first linked in July 2025 after they were spotted having dinner together in Montreal, just days before Trudeau attended a stop on Perry’s Lifetimes Tour in the city. At the time, sources said the outing was “definitely” a date, though it was described as relaxed and low-key.
By autumn, the pair were still seeing each other, with insiders describing Perry as “very happy” and keen to keep the romance out of the spotlight. That changed in October, when the couple made their first major public appearance together at Crazy Horse Paris to celebrate Perry’s 41st birthday. They were photographed holding hands as they left the venue, effectively confirming the relationship.
Those close to Perry say Trudeau has made a strong impression on her. She is said to be impressed by his background and career and has appreciated the effort he has made to fit around her demanding tour schedule, including travelling to see her while she works.
The relationship marks a new chapter for both of them. Perry announced her split from Orlando Bloom in June 2025, ending their engagement after nearly a decade together. Despite the breakup, the two remain close as co-parents to Daisy.
Trudeau, meanwhile, separated from his wife Sophie Trudeau in August 2023 after 18 years of marriage. The former couple share three children: Xavier, Ella-Grace and Hadrien.
