The second season, released in August 2025, garnered only 2 million views, a significant drop from the first season's 5.3 million and ranked 383 among all of Netflix's productions.
Critics have described the show as 'contrived" and 'boring,' with a Rotten Tomatoes rating of just 17% and an IMDb score of 3.2/10.
Despite featuring celebrity guests like Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, the series has not resonated with audiences.
This underperformance raises questions about the value of Netflix's $100 million deal with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, signed in 2020. Other projects under their Archewell Productions, such as Heart of Invictus and Polo, have also struggled to attract viewers.
While their initial documentary, Harry & Meghan, broke records as Netflix's biggest documentary debut, its viewership quickly declined.
Meghan opened up about her love story with Harry in Season Two, which was released last August and was filmed in a rented mansion. None of her family featured in the production.
The couple's latest projects include a Sundance documentary, Cookie Queens, and a film adaptation of the novel Meet Me At The Lake. However, the lackluster performance of their recent ventures suggests challenges ahead for their partnership with Netflix.
