Nelly has opened up about becoming father again at 50 years old.
The rapper and father of four, welcomed the arrival of his baby son with his wife Ashanti a year ago. Nelly has four adult children, including 31 year old daughter Channelle Haynes, and 26 year old son Cornell Ira 'Tre' Haynes III, with former girlfriend Chanetta Valentine.
He also adopted Shawn 'Lil Shawn' Thomas Jr and Sydney Thomas, the children of his sister Jackie in 2005.
In his recent interview, Nelly has revealed that he has one simple rule when it comes to easing himself into the world of parenthood again.
"Listen, I told her before we had this baby, I said, 'Now listen, I'm here. But chasing toddlers at 50...", Nelly stated. "I said, 'As many as you want, but as many nannies as we can afford.' I pay for a professional chaser".
Nelly and Ashanti who have been married since 2023, welcomed the arrival of baby son Kareem Kenkaide. They have launched their own reality series, offering fans an insight into their family life, called Nelly & Ashanti: We Belong Together. This series will launch via Peacock from June 26.
"We are really in real life managing our lives together, our child, our careers, traveling, getting those moments, the cameras, it's a lot", Ashanti said of the show.
In the trailer, Ashanti can also be heard saying: "KK is my first child, so I'm a little more frantic" - while Nelly adds, "My parenting style is just don't burn down the house".
