The Derry Girls actress will be joining David Tennant, Jodie Whittaker, Jim Broadbent, Richard Ayoade, Adrian Lukis and Kathryn Hunter in the Disney + series.
Disney plus and the TV series announced the new cast on Instagram. The caption read: "Keep calm and update the case file. David Tennant, Nicola Coughlan, Jodie Whittaker, Jim Broadbent, Richard Ayoade, Adrian Lukis and Kathryn Hunter have joined the Season 6 cast of #OMITB."

Coughlan is best known for her roles as Claire in Derry Girls and as Penelope Featherington in Bridgerton. The irish actress has recently starred in the stage adaptation of The Playboy of the Western World in London alonside her Derry Girls co-star Siobhán McSweeney.
The brand new season is currently in production in the UK, making it the first time the series has filmed outside of the US. The new season sees main characters take on London instead of New York to take on a new case.
Only Murders In The Building is created by Steve Martin and John Hoffman, and is produced by 20th television.
The new season is expected to premiere in 2027.
