It would appear that tennis legend John McEnroe and ex wife Tatum O'Neal are on good terms these days, having reunited to watch their eldest son Kevin get married recently.
39 year old Kevin, the oldest of McEnroe and O'Neal's three children, married his fiancé Fern Cozine in Napa Valley, California. Kevin had previously proposed to Fern while the couple were out for a hike in November 2023.
John McEnroe and Tatum O'Neal had endured a somewhat tumultuous marriage, resulting in a very acrimonious divorce in 1992, having tied the knot in 1986. What followed was a huge custody battle over their three children, Kevin, Sean and Emily.
While custody of the children eventually went to John McEnroe in 1998, the children remained very close to their mother. Tatum was even asked by Kevin to speak on his very special day.
Previously, Tatum O'Neal, an actress, had spoken about how her and her ex husband came to be civil again, having crossed paths at their son's reading of his novel, Old Town in 2015.
O'Neal revealed that John was "nice" to her, saying: "I would say there isn't a relationship, but there is respect now".
