The upcoming film sees Pitt reunite with Tarantino, who has written the screenplay, while David Fincher takes over directing duties for the next chapter in Cliff Booth's story.
Set in 1977, eight years after the events of the 2019 film, the sequel follows Booth as he moves away from his days as a Hollywood stuntman and becomes a fixer for people in the entertainment industry.

The newly released images offer a glimpse of the film's 1970s setting, including Booth behind the wheel of a demolition derby car and alongside Elizabeth Debicki, who plays talent agent Karen Crosby.
Other images feature Scott Caan and Carla Gugino, who play television star Charlie Peters and his wife, Toni.

The story sees Booth drawn into the world of Peters, a television star known for performing his own stunts.
With murder, blackmail, theft and extortion all featuring in the plot, the film promises a darker crime story set against the backdrop of Los Angeles.

Fincher has described the project as a departure from the original film, saying: “It's not really a stunt story, it's not really a movie story, it's not really even a Hollywood story anymore. It's an LA story.”
Pitt is joined by Debicki, Caan, Gugino, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Peter Weller, alongside Matt Groove, JB Tadena, Corey Fogelmanis and Karren Karagulian.

The project also marks an interesting collaboration between two major filmmakers. Tarantino, who directed the original film, has handed directing duties to Fincher, known for Fight Club, Gone Girl and The Social Network.

Tarantino revealed that the idea came from Pitt himself, who suggested Fincher should direct the follow-up.
“Brad got in touch with me and said, ‘Hey, what about David Fincher directing the Cliff Booth movie?’ I was like, ‘That's a fantastic idea.’ It was such a great idea that I couldn't imagine it happening. It was just too cool.”
The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth will receive a two-week global IMAX theatrical release from November 25, before arriving on Netflix on December 23, making it one to watch for film fans in Ireland over the festive season.
