Pierce Brosnan has claimed that his "Irish genes" and his fondness for a pint of Guinness have been crucial to him having great hair.

The former James Bond star revealed this while stating that he is doing his "best" after being asked about aging gracefully. He was speaking at the premiere for his latest film, The Thursday Murder Club, a movie adaption of Richard Osman's popular book.

"It’s all in the hair, the old Celtic hair", Brosnan said, while also referring to his father who also "had good hair". He also jested that "potatoes, butter" and even "the Guinness" all help.

On the night, Pierce Brosnan was joined by his son Dylan on the red carpet, with the pair posing for photos together.

Back in June, Pierce Brosnan also addressed criticism he received over his Irish accent in the TV show, MobLand, which sees him  star as crime boss Conrad Harrigan, whose family are at war with the Stevenson family in London. More on this here.
