Pink has revealed that she recently contracted E coli.
The singer confirmed this in a message posted via Instagram, where she shared details on what coping mechanisms she employed to deal with her illness. She also previously added a photo of herself hooked up to an IV drip, which drew concern from fans.
E coli, better known as Escherichia coli, has been described as a group of bacteria which can infect the gut, urinary track and other parts of the body, according to the Cleveland Clinic. It can occasionally lead to vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach cramps and fever.
"When you go on vacation and have food and E. coli decides to move into your gut you kill it with friends and daughters and red wine," the singer wrote. "And a vitamin IV concoction".
"This is all normal and everything is going really well", she added.
Elsewhere, Pink also explained how she chose to look on the positive side of her troubles: "Ahhh life and lemons and lemonade," she captioned the post, "and great memories that I might remember".
Back in January, Pink paid tribute to her husband Carey Hart as the couple marked their 19th wedding anniversary. The couple, who share two children together, have been married since 2006. More on this here.
