Robbie Williams has slammed a "bully" podcaster, who labelled him as a "fraud".

This comes after a clip was shared online by the World Cup Of... podcast host, where they harshly criticised him.

The video itself, shows of the podcast's hosts taking aim at Williams, who burst onto the scene as a member of Take That in the 1990s, claiming that Williams "got lucky being in Gary Barlow's band", referring to his former bandmate, before adding:  "You're not a rockstar, you're a fraud".

He then went on to describe Williams as a "Redcoat", a term used for holiday camp entertainers for Butlins, a chain of holiday resorts in Britain.

The episode also shows the host recalling Robbie Williams attending Glastonbury earlier in his career.

"Robbie Williams never been a fan of him," he added. "I think it was the year before, I think he attended Glastonbury with bleached blonde hair, knocked about with Liam Gallagher, probably just shared a big bag of f**king gear".

"You're a real bully" - Williams hits back at podcaster

Now, Robbie Williams has reacted to these jibes on social media.

"My algorithm sent me this," he revealed. "I went to Glastonbury because people my age went to Glastonbury. I've never called myself a rock star. Not once. I was on the bag. You end up where you end up".

"I grew up on holiday camps. What's wrong with being a Redcoat? Or lucky? I know exactly who and what I am," the Angles singer continued. "You, however, display a kind of cruelty that doesn't even recognise itself. Scary. I'm a real Redcoat. You're a real bully. I know which one I'd rather be".

Signing off, Williams even offered to show the hosts around "one of my houses, so you can see exactly how lucky I've been", adding, "I'll send my plane to pick you up".

Back in February, a super-fan of Robbie Williams, who gained major media attention after appearing in the recent Take That Netflix documentary, reunited with him on stage at Wolverhampton. More on this here.
