Radio DJ, Lisa Lopez-Galvan died during the football team's victory parade at Kansas City's Union Station, after the NFL side won the Super Bowl last weekend. 22 other people were injured in the mass shooting, with over half of them children.

The victims injured in this shooting ranged between the ages of eight and 47 years old.

Two people were in a critical condition, according to reports released yesterday, with one in a serious condition. Most of the children were discharged from hospital and expected to recover.

Two juveniles have since been charged in connection with this mass shooting at the Super Bowl rally, and are detained in the county's Juvenile Detention Centre on gun-related and resisting arrest charges. With the investigation continuing, further charges are expected.

The names of the accused have not been released.

"deepest sympathies"

Since then, Taylor Swift send a personal message to the family of Ms Lopez-Galvan who set up a GoFundMe page in loving memory of the DJ and mother of two.

"Sending my deepest sympathies and condolences in the wake of your devastating loss. With love, Taylor Swift", the 'Love Story' singer wrote.

Swift made two separate donations of $50,000 to the GoFundMe page, which has raised $174,460 at the time of writing, which has exceeded their initial target of $75,000.

Tributes were also paid to Ms Lopez-Galvan, who was described as an "amazing mother", and have called the shooting an "unthinkable tragedy".

"This fund has been set up to benefit the family of Lisa Lopez-Galvan", the family wrote on the GoFundMe Page. "Lisa was celebrating the Chiefs Super Bowl Victory parade when senselessly killed. She is survived by two children and her husband of 22 years.

"She was an amazing mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to so many. We ask that you continue to keep her family in your prayers as we grieve the loss of her life".

"This fund will help provide vital financial support to her family as they process this unthinkable tragedy".
