Tense domestic thriller The Feud has been in the top five of the Irish charts since landing on the platform, but that doesn't mean viewers are singing its praises.

While the show is currently number two on the streamer after Clare Danes' hit thriller The Beast In Me, it has certainly received mixed reviews online.

The six-episode series boasts a cast of soap legends, including Jill Halfpenny (Waterloo Road, EastEnders), Larry Lamb (EastEnders), and Ray Fearon (Coronation Street), alongside Rupert Penry-Jones (Spooks, Persuasion).

The Feud follows suburban couple Emma and John (played by Jill and Rupert), whose seemingly perfect family life unravels when they decide to add a kitchen extension to their home.

What begins as a simple renovation spirals into chaos, exposing dark secrets and paranoia lurking within their quiet cul-de-sac.

The official synopsis teases: 'As objections to the plans are raised, unexpected skeletons and life-threatening secrets begin to rise to the surface. Laced with menace, The Feud reveals how Emma’s aspirational dream turns sharply into obsession, paranoia, and fear. One decision sets in motion events that have unforeseeable consequences for both her and the people living on her street.'

Viewers have taken to X to share their thoughts on The Feud, with some saying the show went down a treat. 'British dramas are too good! If you ain’t watched The Feud on Netflix, you need to go watch it!' one person wrote.

'The feud on Netflix, very good,' another simply added. However, others were not as pleased.

'Surely The Feud on Netflix is a parody? This can’t be serious,' one unimpressed viewer said, while another warned: 'Don't be fooled by The Feud being number 1 on series on Netflix. Good god, absolute sh*te, laugh out loud levels of bad.'

'Last night I watched the last two episodes of Feud on Netflix. Rarely have I been so disappointed. The plot is so full of holes, and the characters are all insane. Bizarre,' a third shared.

With its mix of high-stakes drama, dark secrets, and a touch of suburban chaos, The Feud proves that home improvement has never been so dangerous—or so binge-worthy.
