Tubridy & Kelly Make Written Offer To Help Committee With Enquiries

Ryan Tubridy and his agent Noel Kelly have submitted a letter, offering to help the Oireachtas Committee on Media next week with its enquiries into non-disclosure of payements made to the presenter.

The letter was sent to the chair of the Oireachtas Committee Niamh Smyth, offering to help the board with their enquiries into the non disclosure of payements made to the former Late Late Show host.

This comes as members of the much maligned RTÉ board are to face further questions at the committee meeting, after the organisation's discovered further barter accounts. Overall, three barter accounts were found, named Miroma, Astus, and Active.

Speaking today, Niamh Smyth described the inaccurate information given by RTÉ last week that they only had one barter account, as "deeply disappointing".

Smyth stated that RTÉ chief financial officer Richard Collins had "categorically made the presentation that there was one barter account to us and to PAC the following day".

Smyth added, "We asked for quite a lot of documentation around the tripartite agreement, around the top 100 earners, around Toy Show - the musical, we asked for the expenditure on that, and I suppose at this point we don't have that. And I'm kind of disappointed that we don't, because I would have thought that was something RTÉ would have at their fingertips".

"So again, it's really deeply disappointing to see that information was inaccurate and I think there will be some very tough questions for the executive today when they face my colleagues and and rightly so".
