Victoria Beckham looks set to release her own documentary, Netflix have announced.
The former Spice Girls singer looks set to follow in her husband David's footsteps with her own show, which is to focus on her ventures as a fashion designer. It was also confirmed that Emmy nominated Nicola Hewson will produce this documentary, who had previously produced David's much acclaimed series.
While no release date was confirmed, Victoria Beckham has said that her husband is the brains behind the project.
"My husband convinced me to do this documentary. To be honest, I wasn’t sure anybody would really want to see what I do every day. I thought long and hard about it, and then I realized that now is the time to do it", she said.
"I’ve been very defined by a four-year period in my life when I was in the Spice Girls. And I am so proud of that. But with that came all the preconceptions. I can talk about struggles, there are tears. And it did occur to me the other day, what am I going to think when I see those tears on a huge screen? Or on an iPhone? To be completely honest, I am in the hands of the editor no".
The project will also include BAFTA nominee, Julia Nottingham.
Netflix have also stated that this doc will allow unrivalled access to the world of Victoria.
"Following husband David Beckham's doc series chronicling his rise to fame as a successful soccer player and pop culture icon, the upcoming doc promises to get up close and personal with the former pop star as she juggles her business and family life", they said.
