The new trailer for the psychological thriller starring Irish actor Colin Farrell has arrived.
Directed by Edward Berger, Ballad Of A Small Player follows Farrell's character, Lord Doyle, who struggles with various addictions, including alcohol and gambling, as he continues to hide from his past and mounting debts. However, his luck appears to turn when he meets a casino worker named Dao Ming, played by Fala Chen, a man who has secrets of his own.
But Doyle soon discovers that he has grabbed the attention of private investigator Cynthia Blithe, who is played by Tilda Swinton. Blithe forces him to face his past demons.
Ballad Of A Small Player is based on the Lawrence Osborne novel, with Rowan Joffé writing the screenplay. It premiered at the Telluride Film Festival earlier this year, as well as being praised for its atmosphere and Colin Farrell's wonderfully haunting performance.

Earlier this month, Colin Farrell had said that he "love" to work with Margot Robbie, whom he described as "magic". The pair had previously worked on the recent film, A Big Bold Beautiful Journey. The film hits the cinema screens on September 19.
