Westlife have been confirmed as the headline performers for Katie Taylor’s farewell fight at Croke Park this Saturday.
The Irish group will perform as part of the entertainment surrounding Taylor’s final professional bout, which will see the Bray boxer make her final ring walk in front of more than 80,000 fans.
Taylor will take on undefeated French fighter Flora Pili as she bids to end her career as a three-time undisputed world champion.

Westlife said they were “so honoured” to have been asked by Taylor to be part of the historic night.
“She has inspired the whole country and we couldn’t be prouder to perform for her at Croke Park, a stadium that also means so much to us,” the band said.
Westlife are no strangers to Croke Park, having previously performed six sold-out shows at the Dublin stadium.

The group have sold more than 55 million records worldwide and have scored 16 Irish number-one singles and 14 UK number-one singles.
Their biggest hits include Flying Without Wings, Queen of My Heart and You Raise Me Up.
Their appearance at Croke Park comes just days before they begin a record-breaking 13-night residency at Dublin’s 3Arena on September 10 as part of their 25th anniversary celebrations.
Further entertainment acts for Saturday’s event are expected to be announced later this week.

Katie Taylor will face Flora Pili in what will be the final professional fight of her career, with the Bray boxer hoping to sign off with another world title victory on home soil.
In a press conference earlier this week, Taylor said she is “still pinching” herself as she prepares to make the final ring walk of her career at Croke Park this Saturday.
"I'm just a few days away from making my last ring walk at Croke Park."
"This is a dream, in front of 80,000 people. It's going to be an amazing night for Irish sport and Irish boxing."

The event is expected to be a major celebration of Taylor's career, with promoter Eddie Hearn promising a spectacular night for the thousands attending and those watching on RTÉ and DAZN.
Hearn said the event, and particularly Taylor's ring walk, will be the highlight of his career.
"This ring-walk, I truly believe it will be one of the greatest moments the sport has ever seen," Hearn said.

He described it as “one of the biggest events Irish sport has ever seen”, while also promising several major music acts and other surprises throughout the night.
The fight will be shown live on RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player, with live radio commentary on RTÉ 2FM. It will also be broadcast worldwide on DAZN.
