Wrestling Star Hulk Hogan Dies Aged 71

Wrestling legend and entertainer Hulk Hogan, has died aged 71.

This was confirmed by NBC News, who said that Hogan had died at his home in Florida.

Renowned for his imposing 6'7" physique, bandana and distinctive blonde handlebar moustache, Hogans's career saw him win six WWE championships, as well as being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005 by Sylvester Stallone.

On social media, the WWE have said that it is: "saddened to learn WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away".

"One of pop culture's most recognizable figures, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s", the organisation wrote on X. "WWE extends its condolences to Hogan’s family, friends, and fans". 

Elsewhere, Hogan became a famous phenomenon outside of wrestling, appearing in several movies and TV shows, including a reality show about his life on VH1, named "Hogan Knows Best".
