In the latest episode of the series, Clarkson revealed that he had been diagnosed with prostate cancer and that the disease was 'aggressive.'
The former Top Gear host said that he will be "out of action" for a while but is expected to be "fine."
Clarkson told series regular Kaleb Cooper and Charlie Ireland the news, both were visibly shocked.
"I disappeared off the other week and I had a biopsy, and it is cancer, and it's aggressive, but it's really early. I promise I'll be fine," Clarkson revealed in the recent episode.
At the end of the season finale, Clarkson spoke from a hospital bed, "We started season five with me in a hospital bed and here we are at the end of season five and I'm back in a hospital bed," he said.
"Some of the treatment's gone a bit awry, let's say, so I'm going to be here for a little while. I'm nil by mouth, I don't know what's going to happen," he continued.
Clarkson revealed that there was complications during his treatment and reflected on the future of Clarkson's Farm.
"What I wanted to say was if this is all successful, I'll see you for season six, and if it isn't, I won't. Take care everyone, " Clarkson said.
Ahead of the new episode, Clarkson posted a video to his Instagram story that it would be a "hard watch."

Clarkson is best known for hosting the BBC mototing show 'Top Gun between 2003 and 2016. He then went on to host another car show 'The Car Show' with co-presenters Richard Hammond and James May.
In 2021, Clarkson launched the 'Clarkson's Farm', which follows him as he tries to run his own farm. He is also currently hosting the ITV quiz show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.
