Kelly Clarkson has revealed the quickest song she has ever written.
Speaking on the Kelly Clarkson Show's YouTube channel, the pop star revealed that she wrote her Christmas hit, Underneath The Tree from her 2013 album, Wrapped in Red. She said that she wrote this song between ordering sushi and her food arriving.
"A Christmas song. It was Underneath the Tree. I was working with Greg Kurstin in the studio", Clarkson said. "I ordered sushi and when it arrived I had written it".
Elsewhere, Kelly Clarkson added that she finds it easier to write Christmas songs, owing to the fact that she is a huge lover of the festive season.
"I think because I really love Christmas I write them really quickly for Christmas — because they feel good, because you can be a little cheesy, you know? You don’t have to worry about being cool, which honestly that’s not a concern generally ever because I’m not", the singer explained.
Back in May, Kelly Clarkson revealed that she is too busy to go out on tour.
The Since U Been Gone singer, who has been hosting 'The Kelly Clarkson Show' since 2019, has admitted that she has been busy focusing on her talkshow to think about touring. More on this here.
