'Anti-Hero' Swift Dominant At MTV Video Music Awards

Winning as many as 8 awards on the night, Taylor Swift was the big winner at this year's MTV Video Music Awards.

The ceremony, which took place at Newark's Prudential Centre in New Jersey, saw Swift win among many accolades, Video of The Year for smash hit 'Anti-Hero' from her latest 'Midnights' album. 

The US popstar also won awards in best pop video, as well as artist of the year, and song of the year. Other wins include best direction, cinematography, visual effects, and an award for show of the Summer.

A memorable moment from the night saw Swift presented with her first award by reunited boyband NSYNC, before questioning them on future plans.

Receiving her Video of the Year award, Taylor Swift said, “This is unbelievable. The fact this is a fan-voted award means so much to me". 

Other winners on the night include rapper Diddy winning the Global Icon Award, which was presented to him by his daughter Chance and singer Mary J Blige.

Host Nicki Minaj also won an award for best hip-hop video with 'Super Freaky Girl'. Ice Spice won best new artist, while Selena Gomez & Rema's collaboration Calm Down won inaugural best Afrobeats.

The group of the year award was won by Blackpink, with Stray Kids winning the best K-pop award for S-Class. 

Boyband Tomorrow X Together landed the performance of the year award. They also performed with Brazilian star Anitta, who scooped up the Best Latin Award for the second year running.
