Britney Spears Sets Release Date For Memoir 'The Woman In Me'

Britney Spears has announced a release date for her upcoming memoir.

The memoir which is titled 'The Woman In Me', will be released on October 24, according to People. The singer had signed a lucrative deal to write an autobiography in Februrary of last year. 

A press release has stated that this book will tell the "incredible journey (and) strength at the core of one of the greatest performers in pop music history".

Following a bidding war between several publishers, the book was acquired by Gallery Books, which is a division of Simon & Schuster.

"Britney's compelling testimony in open court shook the world, changed laws, and showed her inspiring strength and bravery", their Senior Vice President and Publisher said.  "I have no doubt her memoir will have a similar impact - and will be the publishing event of the year. We couldn't be more proud to help her share her story at last". 

Elsewhere, the cover of the book has also been revealed, showing an image of a topless Britney Spears in front of a black background.

The pop star had been released from a 13 year conservatorship in November 2021.
