Ed Sheeran has revealed that his new music will not be released anytime soon.

The singer songwriter who released two albums last year, has maintained his focus on touring for 2024, adding that he is working on new music, but that it will not be released this year.

Sheeran who released his 'mathematical-themed series' '-' last May, and 'Autumn Variations' in September, is currently on tour in the US on his 'Mathematics' world tour. This tour runs until September.

Speaking in a recent interview, Sheeran has stated that any new music he is working on will not be released anytime soon.

“Nothing’s going to come out this year", the singer/songwriter revealed. “I’m enjoying being on tour. I released two records on tour last year and it’s quite a lot being on tour and releasing records. So, I’ve made the new music and I’m just going to sit on it for a bit".

Elsewhere, Sheeran has added that his daughters Lyra and Jupiter like his new music, but “mostly my new songs because I don’t really play my old songs in the house".

“I feel it’d be quite weird to just put on my discography, so they mostly know the new songs that I’m working on because I play them quite a lot".

Elsewhere, this tour also meant that Ed Sheeran who has also recently extended his sponsorship of his beloved Ipswich Town by another year, was unable to attend Ipswich's win over Huddersfield Town at Portman Road on Saturday, which secured the Tractor Boys' promotion to the Premier League, their second league promotion in two years, meaning that they will be playing in England's top flight for the first time since 2002.

“I’ve signed on to sponsor them next season and if they get into the Prem it’s not going to pay for itself", the singer had previously revealed. “It is a shame to miss the game but I’ve just bumped into a load of Ipswich fans here and we’re all going to meet up and watch it here".
