Elton John is to perform at his "final farewell show" in Sweden this weekend.

The show will mark the music legend's final performance from his 'Farewell Yellow Brick Road' Tour, which began in 2018, but faced several delays due to the pandemic and several health issues experienced by the singer.

The curtains will come down on this tour as John takes to the stage at Sweden's Tele2 Arena in Stockholm tonight (July 8).

This tour also saw Elton John rock the stage at Glastonbury, a set which broke viewing figures at the BBC, attracting more than 7 million viewers.

Elton John has chosen to step away from touring to spend more time with his children and husband David Furnish. However, he did also state that he may play the one-off, occassional show, following his retirement.

The music icon is also expected to continue to collaborate with the likes of Stevie Wonder, Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, and Britney Spears as part of his Lockdown Sessions, which were first released last year.
