Elton John Working On New Album, According To Reports

Elton John is working on a new album, it has been reported.

The music icon who brought the curtain down on his touring career with the conclusion of his farewell tour a few months ago, is reportedly working on a "top secret" new album, which could arrive later this year.

According to a source with The Sun newspaper, Elton John is still keen to work on creating new music, despite his touring retirement after more than 50 years in the business.

“It’s all been very top secret but Elton is back in the studio working on a new album”, a source said. “He adores music and that will never change but the desire to be as busy as he was has waned”. 

The source also stated that Elton John only stepped away from touring, in order to spend more time with his family, including husband David Furnish, and children Zachary 13, and 11 year old Elijah.

“Elton will still have a Rocket Hour radio show on Apple Music and his finger is very much still on the pulse; he just wants to slow down a bit and spend the time with his family but the new album is coming”, the source explained.
