Jimmy Savile: A British Horror Story Is Coming To Netflix

A new documentary about the disgraced presenter Jimmy Savile will air on Netflix next month.

Titled Jimmy Savile: A British Horror Story, the two part documentary will explore how the how Savile's sexual abuse went undetected for so long, exploring over "450 sickening allegations of abuse". It will air on April 6.

“He was a national treasure", Netflix said in a statement. "After his death, he was exposed as a sexual predator, with over 450 sickening allegations of abuse". 

The film which is directed by Rowan Deacon, also promises to explore, “the evil within Jimmy and delves into how he managed to fool an entire nation for four decades". 

A spokesperson also added that the documentary, “examines both his career and the allegations and investigations into his crimes as well as Savile’s relationship with the British people, the establishment and the media to understand how he managed to fool an entire nation for so long". 

The trailer which you can see below also includes Savile with established figures such as Prince Charles who praised him for his charity work. Savile can also be spotted with former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.

Savile's victims will also speak on this documentary, while you can also hear Savile's taunting voice saying "you're missing everything" and "they can't catch me out". 

This documentary will air ahead of Steve Coogan's BBC film called Jimmy Savile: The Reckoning, which will air on BBC later this year. An independent review revealed that some BBC staff were also aware of Savile's nefarious activities.
