Kylie Minogue has announced her first Las Vegas residency.

The Australian singer will perform at the Voltaire Nightclub at the Venetian hotel and casino in November, which is expected to include 12 shows.

Minogue shared the good news via Instagram with a promotional video.

"VEGAS BABY! So excited to headline the all-new @VoltaireLV at @VenetianVegas starting this fall. See you there!", the singer can be heard saying in the video.

Minogue shed further light on this tour in a news conference in Los Angeles, where she revealed that the shows will take place in front crowds of 1,000 people, offering fans a more personal experience.

"I want it to be the kind of essence of what a Kylie show has become, enough glamour and abandon. I've got some versions of songs that have not been heard, like reinterpretations of songs, which is exciting. Live bed dances, amazing costumes", she said.

The 'Can't Get You Out Of Me Head' singer added, "I've performed a couple of times at Vegas, but as part of a tour, and particularly when I did the Showgirl tour in 2004 - at that time we said, 'oh, this feels like a Vegas show'".

The residency is to kick off on November 3 this year.
